Being a "detective"

Hi guys!

So, I have been attending this Advanced Elective Module (AEM) course since yesterday, which is "Application of Science in Forensics". It's really interesting actually, like learning all the cool stuffs like Crime Scene Investigation(CSI) and how we look for evidences and things like that. But it's so tedious because it starts from 8am-5pm. EVERYDAY. Until Friday. *sigh* I hope I can go on. HAHA. And there's a test for it. *LIKE OMG* And we also have to do a presentation on a case study. And the worst thing is, it will be recorded T.T

Theory wise, honestly, I got no idea what the lecturer is talking about. Is so.. DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. Because mostly it's more of Biology, all the DNA and RNA stuff and I'm a Physics student, which is the majority of the class. But, kinda really happy to gain this knowledge cause at least I'm a little exposed to the Biology world. So I won't feel so ignorant in front of my Biology friends :P

Everyone looks forward to practical. Because, well, we are students. We obviously prefer to do hands-on activities rather than doing theory for like the whole 8 hours right? We will probably bore to death. But the practical yesterday wasn't really interesting as we had did it before several times already. Yes, I'm referring to titration. But the burette looked different from what we have been using in our school. AND THE LABORATORY IS AIR-CONDITIONED :O LOVE the equipements and the air-conditioned lab :D

Today we did chromatography. Had a shark's meat as a fish sample. And we were suppose to determine what kind of proteins was present in the shark's meat. We used 200 voltage to pass through that gel thingie(dont really know what's that called) and the dye that had 10 chemicals inside and it's really costly. Merely 50ml of it costs $700! The dye separated into 10 colours and it was very pretty :>

Sorry for the lengthy post :( see ya! :D
